CANCELLATION FEES

The terms of your booking including the cancellation fees are presented to you in writing when you make your booking. They state the following terms:

-We’re adults only, if you book and you're not an adult, or you book on behalf of a child, you/they will not be pierced and may still be charged.

-ID must be available on request. No genital piercings are performed without a photo ID regardless of how old you look.

-We cannot hold appointments longer than 10 minutes as it causes delay to other customers, so please be advised if you’re more than 10 minutes late you may be charged a cancellation fee and we may not be able to complete your service.

-We offer 100% free cancellation up to for 5 hours before a booking, then from 5 hours until your booking time there is a 50% cancellation fee. If you do not arrive for your booking there is a 100% appointment fee charge. We would much rather do the work for you, but as we’re a micro business we cannot absorb that financial loss and do have to charge for wasted time.

If you’d like to cancel, please use the “Manage Appointment” button that’s on both your confirmation email and your reminder email.

Please do not book in with Forest Piercing if you do not accept these conditions as they are presented.

RETAIL PURCHASES

Returns/exchanges cannot be made for hygiene reasons, your statutory rights are not affected.

No warranty or insurance policy for any item or service has been purchased by you or sold by Forest Piercing, you are responsible for the care of items in your possession purchased at Forest Piercing.

Forest Piercing accepts no liability for jewellery lost in your possession. One leaving the studio you are solely responsible for ensuring your jewellery is safe and secure.

Forest Piercing is not responsible for the wear and tear of an item of jewellery in your possession and we advise gold jewellery is worn with extreme care. We recommend adding particularly expensive items to your own personal contents insurance.

Forest Piercing cannot control the health of your piercing once you leave the studio environment. You are personally responsible for your piercings care.

BREAKAGES AND THE UK REPAIRING STANDARD

The repairing standard in the UK set forth by the 2015 Consumer Rights act states that items purchased should be Fit for Purpose, As Described and of Satisfactory Quality at the point of purchase. Accidental breakages in your possession are not the responsibility of Forest Piercing.

The Consumer rights act states that you have up to 6 months post purchase to request a partial refund or a repair if you received goods that were defective, it does not entitle you to a partial refund or repair in the event you have broken an item in your possession that was not defective at the time of purchase. If a fault develops with your purchase more than 6 months post purchase, it is your legal responsibility to prove that the item was defective at the point of purchase and that it did not occur in your possession.

Any repairs or replacements negotiated through Forest Piercing with the original manufacturer may incur a cost for which you, the client, are liable.

SERVICES RENDERED

In accordance with the 2015 Consumer Rights Act, you are not automatically entitled to a refund on any services rendered to you, but if you believe your piercing was not performed with “reasonable care and skill” you can request a repeat performance of the work you are unsatisfied with in accordance with Section 55 of the Consumer Rights Act. You must notify us in writing within 30 days of your piercing being performed that you are unsatisfied with it, as poor care on your part to maintain your piercing can affect how it looks and we will not be able to verify this is related to the initial piercing service.
Every client has the opportunity to confirm they are happy with the piercing marks made on your skin, this confirms where the piercing will be placed - if at a later time you decide you’d like the piercing moved, this is a personal preference and no error in service has been made my Forest Piecing. Forest Piercing have fully met their obligations to you.
